“This is an amazing product! I first used a robot vacuum over a decade ago when I bought a Roomba, and I was always unsure if it was actually cleaning. “If this is 100 euros, what about other robot vacuums?: I'm a beginner with the Tapo vacuum. I've replaced my Roomba 800 series with it. There’s a question of whether it’s even a fair comparison, but here are my impressions after a few days of use. 1. Affordable! Older Roombas cost tens of thousands of yen, but this Tapo RV20 is under 20,000 yen! 2. No scratches on the floor! Thanks to Roomba, my brand new floor was scratched up right after moving in. Now that it’s already scratched, I don’t mind if a few more scratches appear (laughs), but so far, both the floor and furniture are safe. 3. Smart! Roomba took a long time with its random cleaning and ended up cleaning the same spots repeatedly, running out of battery before returning to the dock, and even tearing up my favorite carpet... Tapo has none of those issues, and I’m impressed by how smart it has evolved! The initial mapping of the house layout requires some skill, but it seems that as long as you don’t lock the map, it updates each time, so during the initial setup, I just loosely surrounded the charging station to create a basic map, which isn’t a big challenge. 4. Quiet! Maybe Roomba was just noisy, but I don’t notice Tapo while it’s running. 5. It picks up larger debris! Roomba basically only picked up dust, lint, and hair, but Tapo collects larger debris like small beans. 6. Drawbacks compared to Roomba! The charging port is located at the back where the dustbin is, so when it returns to the charging station, I have to pull Tapo out to remove the dustbin each time. (Is it assumed that I’ll buy an expensive waste collection dock??) Roomba had the charging port on the opposite side of the dustbin, making it easier to remove. This is a minor downside that can happen if the designer hasn’t actually used the product or lacks imagination. 7. Concerns? I wonder if the learned layout data could be transferred or misused? The inside of my house is completely exposed (laughs). So far, I feel like I made a very good purchase!”
“家事の時短にもってこい: 7ニャンズ&鳥2羽と暮らしています。毎日ホコリが凄いです。今までマキタの紙パック掃除機を使っていました。カーペットの猫毛もガンガン吸うので性能には申し分無かったのですが、ニンゲンの時間が無く、昼間にゆっくり掃除出来るのがせいぜい週1。夜間はご近所さんが気になって時々吹き溜まりをサッと吸うくらいでいつも床のホコリやネコ砂が気になっていました。日中に勝手に掃除してくれるなら、拭き掃除までやってくれるなら、とセールのタイミングで購入しました。元々tapoシリーズのペット用見守りカメラを使用していたので揃えました。他の人のレビューに音がうるさいとありましたが、掃除機なんてこんなものでは？といった感じの音です。むしろマキタより全然静か。確かに寝ている間にベッド周りをウロウロされたら眠れないかもしれませんが、正直ニャンズの運動会より静かだと思います。またニャンズの涙やくしゃみ、水飲み場から跳ねた水などが乾いた床の跡も綺麗に拭き掃除してくれて助かります。掃除機のゴミをドックに吸い上げる際は普通の掃除機並の音がします。ニャンズ的には今までの掃除機に慣れることなくずっと逃げ回っていましたが、今の掃除機は恐怖が少ないようで、ビビりながら好奇心で後ろを付いて回っています。ペットのいる共働き家庭にはオススメです。当たり前ですが障害物があると掃除しません。清掃前に動かせる物は高台に避難させて、猫が出入りするエリアは粗相が無いことを確認してから起動が良いと思います。（我が家は在宅勤務中や別の家事をやっている間に動かしています）マキタは掃除機が入れないエリア（トイレや納戸）や気合いを入れて掃除する時に活躍してます。古い掃除機は捨てない方が良いです。”
